On April 26, 2024, a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) contingent of nearly 70 soldiers, primarily from the Royal 22e Régiment, wrapped up Operation Helios. This month-long mission successfully trained 330 military personnel from CARICOM nations (the Bahamas, Belize, and Jamaica) in advance of their deployment to Haiti under the Kenya-led Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS).
