Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey is standing by the introduction of the Child Protection Bill, 2023.
He stressed it’s the Government’s duty to ensure legislation is modern.
Minister Humphrey told Parliament the Child Protection Bill is one which reflects Barbadian realities.
His comments came in the Lower House during Debate on a Resolution on the Report of the Joint Select Committee on Social Sector and the Environment on the Child Protection Bill.
