Minister in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Investment Senator Chad Blackman is calling on the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB) to play a significant role in national development.
Addressing ICAB’s 50th Annual General Meeting, Minister Blackman challenged the Institute to increase its social media presence and to form international partnerships.
He added that not withstanding the international standards of accounting, ICAB should start charting new ways of doing things that reflect the realities of doing business in the Caribbean and the global south.
