Some Brittons Hill residents should once again feel safe to traverse their community thanks to the effort of a local group.

"Youth on Call" descended on the site of two derelict properties in Deightons Road, overrun by bush.

Director Nathaniel Boyce spoke to CBC News before beginning the difficult task.

Mr. Boyce says the group is also planning a number of other initiatives with a view to helping young people.
