Eight of the world’s largest oil companies have reported combined profits of more than US$90 billion in the second quarter of 2026.

The earnings follow a sharp rise in oil prices linked to the Iran-Israel conflict.

The surge came after global energy supply disruptions briefly pushed oil prices above US$100 a barrel.
