Legendary Jamaican actor and comedian Oliver Samuels is returning to South Florida stages this Labor Day weekend with his highly anticipated new production, “Where Dere’s A Will, Dere’s A Criminal.” Brought to the diaspora by Whirlwind Live Performances, the play promises to restore Jamaican live theater to its absolute glory days with laugh-out-loud comedy, relatable family drama, and unforgettable audience interactions.
Breaking the traditional rules of promotional caution, Whirlwind Live Performances CEO Michael Dawson is staking his entire 14-year international reputation on this specific production. When pressed about his confidence in the show, Dawson doubled down on his praise.

The production tackles the highly relatable and chaotic cultural battleground of “Dead Lef”—the fierce, often hilarious, and dramatic fights over family wills and inheritance.
