Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM, David Comissiong has recommended the institutionalising and expansion of the Eminent Persons Group.
The suggestion was put forward during a forum titled "Haiti Now: Development Priorities and Interventions" organised by the Caribbean Development Bank.
The three-member group consists of former Prime Minister of the Bahamas, Perry Christie; former Prime Minister of Jamaica, Bruce Golding; and former Prime Minister of St. Lucia, Dr. Kenny Anthony.
He wants the group that was appointed by CARICOM Heads of Government to be transformed into a permanent or semi-permanent entity.
