Karsten Warholm shattered the world record in the men’s 300m hurdles at the Xiamen Diamond League, stopping the clock at a jaw-dropping 33.05 to rewrite history. The Norwegian star blew away the field, finishing nearly a full second ahead of Brazil’s Matheus Lima, who placed second in 33.98, and Japan’s Ken Toyoda, third in 34.22. It was a commanding performance from the Olympic champion, who looked in a league of his own from the opening stride to the final barrier.
Turkey’s Berke Akçam (34.50) and Sweden’s Carl Bengtström (34.75) followed, while Kyron McMaster (IVB), Zhiyu Xie (CHN), and CJ Allen (USA) all finished within one-tenth of a second of each other. Costa Rica’s Gerald Drummond rounded out the field in 35.61.
