Dental professionals gathered here for the second Caribbean Dental Sleep Medicine Conference which focused on sleep apnea.
These professionals are working alongside doctors to improve overall health as more information is known about the effects of the disorder.
Coordinator Dr. Alison Mayers says sleep is important and the effects of untreated and undetected sleep apnea can be harmful.
