Armed forces gearing up for Cricket World Cup

The armed forces are gearing up for the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup tournament to ensure they’re positioned to respond to any threat.

Commander Mark Peterson of the Barbados Defence Force spoke on the matter during a press conference for Exercise Tradewinds 2024, set to be held here from the 4th to 16th of this month.

Exercise Tradewinds is a United States Southern Command-sponsored military exercise which is conducted annually in the Caribbean region.

Colonel Charles Karels of the US Army South Director G3/7 Training and Exercises has underscored the importance of the training.
