Caribbean Songs and Games for Children

Various Artists

Caribbean Songs & Games for Children is a collection of children’s rhymes and rhythms, many originating in West Indian and Caribbean island nations. Music professor, author, and musician Dr. Edna Smith Edet recorded the tracks heard here during visits to Trinidad, Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico, and at two public schools in New York City. Edet’s liner notes provide a brief introduction to West Indian and Caribbean music, as well as lyrics and information about the song tracks.
