The wait is over for the thousands of Barbadian and regional students who wrote the May-June 2024 exams of the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC).
The Barbados-based CXC has informed them that, in a matter of hours, they will be able to access the results online through CXC’s Student Portal.
The timeline given is 3:00 p.m.
An official release of results ceremony was held in Dominica with CXC and education officials.
Director of Operations, Dr. Nicole Manning, in assessing the results, says exams were impacted by weather systems and bomb threats, impacting Jamaica, the British Virgin Islands and Dutch Sint Maarten, challenges which were overcome.
While more candidates took CXC’s exams, less subjects were written.
Dr. Manning shared CXC’s concerns regarding the use of cellphones and cheating along with candidates attempting to impersonate another person.
Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Wayne Wesley is calling for more ways to be found to assist students to excel in mathematics and english.
