Many success stories from literary competition

The Frank Collymore Literary Endowment competition continues to play a part in the development of literary arts and artistes on island.

The awards, which started in 1988, recognise individuals for literary achievement during the past year.

The endowment is supported by the Central Bank of Barbados.

Creative Producer and Cultural Consultant, Ayesha Gibson-Gill says there have been many success stories from winners.

Her comments came on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.

Chairperson Yvonne Weekes revealed the Spoken Word competition has been included for a second year.

This, she says, will be separate from the Writing competition.
