NOAH LYLES OUT! INJURY ENDS HIS SEASON

Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles has ended his 2026 season because of injury, saying he and his coach made the decision after ongoing issues made it difficult for him to continue training.

Lyles explained that after competing at the U.S. Championships, he discovered he had a small strain. He initially believed the injury was not serious and said rehabilitation had been going well, but the strain eventually caused other problems to flare up.

With training becoming increasingly difficult, Lyles said the decision was made to shut down his season and turn the focus toward 2027 and 2028, which he described as β€œhumongous years.”

Despite ending his competitive season, Lyles said he still plans to attend the Ultimate Championship, where he has behind-the-scenes commitments and a party to host. He added that he is excited to watch the competition and even more excited about what the future will bring.
