Not pleased with the performance, but taking the win — Jamaica College’s Joseph Salmon captured the boys’ discus throw title at the Penn Relays with a mark of 63.55m (208-6).
Salmon’s winning throw came in the second round, enough to hold off Calabar’s Kamari Kennedy (61.19m) and Munro College’s Rajeem Streete (60.25m) in a strong Jamaican showing.
The victory marks a historic milestone, as Salmon becomes the first event winner in Jamaica College’s history at the Penn Relays, with his distance ranking No. 9 all-time in meet history.
