The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has welcomed plans to increase the nursing complement at the institution.
Last week, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley announced plans to create 289 posts over the next two financial years, at a cost of approximately 11.7 million dollars.
Chief Operations Officer of the QEH, Dr. Christine Greenidge, says the nurse practitioners in particular, will be a big help to physicians and ultimately patients.
She was speaking on the Pulse radio show on Q100.7 FM.
