Soca 5.0, One of the Crop Over Festival’s most anticipated events, is currently underway at the National Botanical Gardens.
Despite overcast skies and heavy showers during the day, technical and ground crews were busy putting the final touches on the venue in anticipation of tonight’s crowd.
Soca 5.0, which is sponsored by Courts Ready Cash and 98.1 The One, is one of the special events being held to mark the 50th anniversary of the festival.
Five big bands from Barbados and the region will be hitting the stage to bring the vibes with recent tunes and greatest hits from the past 50 years, to patrons tonight.
They are Krosfyah, Square One, Coalishun, Machel Montana and the Monk Band, as well as the 50th Anniversary Band.
