St Leonard’s Girls marking their platinum jubilee

Former St. Leonard’s Girls students are looking forward to celebrating their platinum jubilee.

And to mark the occasion they will be hosting a week of activities starting June 8.

Treasurer of the 1971 class of St. Leaonard’s Girls’ School, Lynette Murray says many of them will be returning from USA and Canada for the events.

Ms. Murray says this is the first time they will be hosting these events in such a formal way.

Activities for the week include a church service, tour of Historic Bridgetown, Catamaran Crusie and a cultural night at Oistins, culminating with a gala dinner, where Minister of Tourism Ian Gooding-Edghill will be honoured.

Additionally, Ms. Murray urges all former St. Leonard’s Girls to come out in a show of support.
