🇯🇲 “I ran to the best of my ability,” Orlando Bennett said after narrowly missing a place in the men’s 110m hurdles final at the Ultimate Championships in Budapest.
Bennett finished fifth in his semifinal in 13.29 seconds, just 0.01 behind Japan’s Tatsuki Abe, who claimed the fourth and final qualifying spot in 13.28.
The Jamaican was close to advancing in a tightly contested heat won by Trey Cunningham in 13.18, ahead of Jason Joseph in 13.26 and Ja’Kobe Tharp in 13.27.
Bennett’s Ultimate Championships campaign ends at the semifinal stage, but he said he gave everything he had on the day.
