Barbadian employers have been encouraged to take the wellness of employees seriously and implement a variant of the National Workplace Wellness Policy.
The initiative launched in 2019 seeks to encourage health and wellness in workplaces.
The policy document was conceptualised and prepared by Dr. Dwayne Devonish.
Speaking on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados Dr. Devonish reminded Barbadians that wellness is not just a single dimension and should not be left to the employee alone.
